The Musée du Fort presents an original and unique sound and light show on the military history of Québec City. Located in front of the famous Château Frontenac, the museum is a great first stop for a historical visit and it can easily fit into any activity plannings in and around Old Québec.
Following an introduction by our guides, our sound and light show tells the story of the six sieges of Québec City including the famous battle of the Plains of Abraham and Benedict Arnold's march to Québec.
Through our impressive 400 ft sq. model of Québec City and its outlying regions in 1750, you will fully appreciate the strategic importance of this historic city.
Sound and visual effects accompany this fascinating history lesson.
After the sound and light show projected on our unique giant scale model of the area circa 1750, play an interactive quiz! If you correctly answer our trick questions about the six sieges of Québec, you could win a prize!
In the boutique, we have the most complete collection of historical books in Old Québec available in both languages (English and French).
Some souvenirs are available like plastic soldiers, military objects and wooden muskets.

For its anniversary, the Musée du Fort is adding new
technology to improve the experience of his sound and light show.
The modernization of the show was made possible through a generous contribution from the Office du Tourisme de Québec, the Quebec City Local Development Centre, the Conférence des élus de la Capitale-Nationale, Tourisme Québec and the Secrétariat à la Capitale Nationale. A production team entirely from Québec (Productions Far East, Studio Element, 20k, XYZ Cultural Technology and Riki solutions) has revisited the entire show, using their talent and advanced technology (maping) to create even more visual effects.
